Week Five Summary ending Fri 1/7
VARSITY
The Varsity Centerville Wrestling Team traveled to the 40th Fairfield Invitational. The young Elks wrestled very well with almost everyone contributing toward the team score. The team ended up in 5th place. Brenden Watson was Centerville's only champion. Troy Barklay placed second. Josh Scanlon placed 3rd. Alexander Bair, Nick Duffy, and Alec Gilchrist placed 4th. The varsity and jv are off this week. The Centerville Wrestling team will host the annual Freshman Buckeye on Friday and Saturday.
JUNIOR VARSITY & FRESHMAN
The JV and Freshmen attended the Beavercreek Classic. The tournament was a 5-man pool tournament with awards 4 deep.
The team had a rough day, but came out with several champions. AJ Parker, Chris Cochran, and Eric Bizimana won their pool and were champions. Several others wrestled well but did not take the individual championship. Vincent Meng, John Andrews, Jacob Duffy, Richie Linan and Jeremy Hart had strong performances and wrestled well.
