Thank You to the Centerville faithful who showed up this past Friday night at Centerville High School to support the Elk wrestling team versus crosstown rival Kettering Fairmont in the "Battle of Far Hills VI. The gymnasium was packed out with a frenzy of fans. Students painted their chests, held up signs, voiced chants, and screamed and cheered loudly. This made for a very cool atmosphere to compete in.
Friday Jan 27
Centerville was winning by six points going into the last match of the night. Kettering had to pin freshman Colton Hale to tie the match. If the match ended in a tie Kettering would have won by criteria with the most pins. Colton Hale did not get pinned and only lost by a minor (less than 8 points). This gave Centerville the win. Centerville has won 5 out of the last 6 matches in the grudge match.
Congratulations to the Elks for an explosive evening. Good Luck to the Centerville Wrestling team as they prepare for the GWOC wrestling tournament which takes place this Friday and Saturday in Kettering's Trent Arena.

In Jv action-winners were Brandon White, Josh Hogan, Richie Linan, Chris Cochran and Ray Greene

Congratulations to the Centerville Wrestling team for finishing 4th at the Mason Pool tournament. Champions for the Elks were Brenden Watson and Garrett Conner. Other placers were Troy Barklay 3rd, Derek Barklay 7th, Josh Scanlon 4th, Jimmy Barton 8th, Colton Hale 5th, Alexander Bair 6th, Nick Duffy 2nd, Alec Gilchrist 4th, Corey Jones 5th, Josh Harrell 3rd, and Conan Jennings 5th.
West Liberty Invitational was canceled due to weather. There are no results.
